PharmaAnveshan is a prestigious national initiative organized by the Pharmacy Council of India to commemorate National Pharmacy Education Day on 6th March, marking the birth anniversary of Prof. M. L. Schroff, the Father of Pharmacy Education in India.
Prof. Mahadeva Lal Schroff
(1902–1971) is revered as the Father of Pharmacy Education in India. He pioneered formal pharmaceutical education by establishing India’s first pharmacy department at Banaras Hindu University in 1937.
Prof. Schroff played a crucial role in shaping modern pharmacy curricula and professional standards in the country. His vision laid the foundation for organised pharmacy education, research, and regulation in India. In recognition of his immense contributions, his birth anniversary (6th March) is celebrated as National Pharmacy Education Day in India.

Research, Regulatory and Practice”. The event shall be organized by Dadhichi College of Pharmacy, Odisha on 22nd March 2026 at The Institution Of Engineers (India), Odisha State Centre, Unit 4, Bhouma Nagar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha 751022.
